Third and fourth parks in the United States were reported as being under review. The company added that it would prepare the overseas openings through its local subsidiaries in Dubai and the United States.
Seoul Economic Daily drew a line between the two: Dubai as a ‘plan for 2026’, the United States as ‘under review’. Both came from the same announcement, but the two markets are at different stages. No US city or timeframe was mentioned in the report.
The same press conference also introduced the plan to commercialise ‘Soulware’, the robot OS for learning K-pop choreography, in 2027. The overseas parks and the OS release should be read in the same light, as plans at the time of the announcement.
Markets named earlier
English-language reports at the pre-opening stage named Japan and Southeast Asia as expansion targets alongside Dubai and the United States. The Korea Times carried the expansion plan in an article of 8 July 2026, in which it also reported that 8,000 people had booked during the initial July reservation window and that every July weekend show had sold out.
In that article Choi Yong-ho was quoted, in effect, as saying the company would ‘start in Seoul, extend this model to major cities around the world and grow it into a global physical AI entertainment platform’. Seoul, in other words, is the model to be scaled.
The report at the time said the official opening was scheduled for September 2026, whereas the official opening actually took place on 21 August. The list of expansion targets is likewise the plan as reported at that point; at the August press conference, Dubai and the United States were the markets discussed in more concrete terms.
Plans versus commitments
As of June, the Dubai project was reported to be at the stage of discussions with local partners. In an exclusive report on 24 June 2026, Seoul Economic Daily said the company was pursuing a Dubai robot theme park combining K-pop, AI and robotics and was in talks with local partners in the UAE, and quoted the company as saying the project was ‘under review, with specifics not yet decided’.
